We understand memory support; each member of Covenant Living at Windsor Park's care staff is accredited in memory support care by the nationally recognized Alzheimer’s Association CARES® training program. As an added benefit at Covenant Living at Windsor Park, should you no longer desire to be burdened with caring for your home, a wide variety of comfortable maintenance-free residences are available for you to move into right away.
Health care services received can be paid for on a private pay basis as the services are provided.
Medicare Part A covers the cost of skilled care in a Skilled Nursing facility for a limited time. The Medicare benefit covers 100% of the cost of skilled care for up to the first 20 days.
If skilled care is still required for 21-100 days (or any portion thereof), there is a daily coinsurance payment. (Medigap Coverage or Long-Term Care insurance may be able to cover this.)
Medigap insurance, which is sold through private insurance companies, helps pay for costs that Medicare doesn’t cover, such as co-pays and deductibles.
Long-Term Care insurance can help pay for nursing home care. This insurance may also cover the cost of in-home care, adult day care, assisted living and services provided in continuing care communities. The amount of coverage and the eligibility requirements may differ. If your loved one has a policy, read it carefully.
It was a big adjustment moving from Residential Living to Assisted Living. Having been making all of my own decisions, the transition to Assisted Living has truly been a blessing and the staff has been so friendly and helpful. The reassurance I feel to know that I can call for assistance at any time of the day or night and someone is always available is very encouraging. The extra assistance needed to have someone go with me for appointments, has been comforting and has also provided me the opportunity to talk with staff one on one. I have never felt that I am putting anyone out, and appreciate the input from staff in making decisions helpful.
Living at Covenant Living at Windsor Park, in Assisted Living, has been quite wonderful. I am grateful that the services are available to me. There is the option of being able to do things independently or with the friends that I have made. I am appreciative of the help that is available when it is necessary.
My husband and I moved into Covenant Living at Windsor Park Manor seventeen years ago. We enjoyed our nice apartment and the resident activities for seven years together. After that time, due to illness, Ed, my husband, fell and was admitted to the Johnson Health Care unit. He received excellent care. Now I had a bout with spinal stenosis and I was hospitalized - it was then my turn to transfer to Johnson Health Care. After I received such good care, I chose to remain in Johnson. Now, at age 95, I have been in West 2 of Johnson for almost four years. Since then I have been stimulated with activities here and I play games with former friends many nights a week. Too, I have been Resident Council President for Johnson three and a half years. I highly recommend, my home, Covenant Living at Windsor Park, to everyone.
What I liked about my stay in the Johnson Health Care. 1.) The people who served at all hours of the day and night. 2.) The nurses who made taking medications easy. 3.) The serving of food is done well. 4.) The staff who helped those who can’t help themselves- especially during mealtime. Overall, I had a positive experience.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in the Johnson Health Care Center? Welcome to JHCC! If you become ill or are in need of physical care you can’t manage at home, Johnson is the place for you! You’ll find that JHCC is just what you need. I speak from a 90-day experience of TLC and medical expertise and care, which included 24-hour-a-day care and three meals a day, plus physical and occupational therapy. My personal experience was a delight in every aspect, and I was very sorry to leave. Therapy with JHCC resulted in what can truly be called a miracle, as my surgeon announced after my first post-operative visit. So, spread the good (actually, great) news, “Johnson is wonderful!” And PS, it is very close to the London Grille. See you there!
